Michelle D. Hord is a creative storyteller and media executive. As the President of Hope Warrior, Inc., and former Vice President of Creative Content and Talent Management for NBC Universal, Michelle has produced content for television shows, developed strategic solutions for business and talent management needs, with experience from television control rooms to executive board rooms. She produced content for organizations such as ABC News, Good Morning America, Oxygen, CBS News, and The Oprah Winfrey Show.
Her areas of practice include developing corporate narratives, DEI, on air talent development, executive editorial oversight, workforce change management, workforce talent management and M+A workforce integration.
In addition to being a sought-after producer and speaker, her memoir, “The Other Side of Yet,” was released in March 2022 and has received the 2023 Christopher Award and the 2023 Memoir Grand Prize from Memoir Magazine. Michelle has told her story on multiple television, magazine and podcast outlets including GMA, The Talk, The Tamron Hall Show, Jesus Calling and O Magazine.
Michelle Hord is the Founder of Gabrielle’s Wings, Inc., a nonprofit created in honor of her daughter Gabrielle, who died tragically at the age of seven. Gabrielle’s Wings serves a global community of elementary aged children from untapped communities through educational, recreation and cultural engagement. Gabrielle’s Wings has impacted more than 10,000 children in its short history.
Michelle is a member of the Advisory Board for Howard University’s School of Communications and the past Chair of the Hampton University Scripps School of Communications Advisory Board. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority, Inc., an Associate of Jack and Jill of America, and a proud alumna of Howard University.
